Here are a few pictures from Doug’s adventures with Brent and Jarrod in the Boundary Waters.
Jarrod had a new camera he captured some cool photos with. The boys made friends with a beaver and they named him “Steve.”

So, the canoers have returned and the boys and I bonded while Dad was away. Nothing too exciting happened – we were rained in this past weekend which made everyone bounce off the walls a bit. So Sunday we headed out and did some shopping. Tues. we went to the zoo and park. That was literally our excitement but that works fine for me! Pine Grove Zoo is a gem. It is fun to take the kiddos there and all the improvements in the past few years make it so, so, so, so much nicer! (I think I am going to change the title of this post to SO – it seems to be my word of the day – it’s kind of a weird word!) I didn’t bring the camera to the zoo – so no pics but here a couple of cute ones from the past couple of days.
So Oliver’s newest thing is driving the van. One morning I told him we had to hurry because we needed to bring E to school. He looked at me and said with a very serious voice and stern look, ”me drive van Mommy.” He is our child that can’t wait to grow up, it all looks like so much fun, I guess!

Hi,
It’s been an interesting few days – nothing to exciting for the boys and I but Doug got to take off on a fun trip. Doug and two friends from high school days, Brent and Jarrod, took off to the Boundary Waters. Very fun! Otherwise we did the usual this weekend – played outside when the rain wasn’t pouring down. Many of the neighborhood kids were around on Saturday and they barrelled down the hill on bikes and at the bottom they braved a little ramp that Doug built for Ethan that goes maybe 3 inches off the ground. It was quite an adventure. Oliver of course joined in with his hot wheels and that was a bit interesting and scary to watch. That kid doesn’t care that he’s the littlest, he’ll try anything! Enjoy some pictures from the weekend.

Hi everyone,
We decided to try and keep family in the loop better (especially those far away in CO & OH), so here is a blog that we hope to update frequently with pictures at the very least. Time will tell…. Wish us luck and say a little prayer because you know how life goes…
The biggest thing happening at this time in our life is Ethan going to kindergarten. It’s a great milestone so now is the perfect time to start keeping you up to date.
Above is the photo of the little man all brave and smiley. Overall, things are going great with school but there were a few tears shed by a couple of us in the family – ok everyone but Doug. I think Oliver misses him at daycare, E’s nervous about all the kids and I am sad because he was so scared.
Well I hope you all enjoy our first entry and I also hope there are more to come. Oliver has been boycotting his nap something fierce today so I need to go deal with that (for the 55th time this afternoon).
